GA concerns
[edit]I am concerned that this article no longer meets the good article criteria. Some of my concerns are listed below:
- There is uncited text, including the entire "Birds" section.
- At just over 9,000 words, this article might be too long. I do not think information needs to be removed, but perhaps information can be summarised more effectively, and the block quotes evaluated to see if they are still needed.
- The "Society and culture" section is underdeveloped, with only one line about its use in food and no information about its use in literature or the arts, especially its use as an allegory.
Is anyone willing to address the above, or should this go to WP:GAR? Z1720 (talk) 15:35, 16 September 2024 (UTC)

There are uncited statements, including almost the entire "Birds" section. At over 9,000 words, WP:TOOBIG recommends splitting off the article; since this is such a big topic, it might not be possible but should probably be considered after a subject-matter expert tries making this more concise. The "Society and culture" section is underdeveloped, with only one line about its use in food and no information about its use in literature or the arts, especially its use as an allegory.
